I got the day off last minute. Does anyone know where I can get 8 tickets for Saturday?

Yes...

As of yesterday (or two days ago), they still have 180 tickets remaining. I recommend calling ahead.

there will be plenty of people with extra tickets, there should be no problem finding any

Somebody asked the other day if there was a buzz around town. It’s not huge, but as it’s gotten closer there are more people talking about it and asking for tickets. If the weather cooperates, I think we’ll have a good crowd.

This is one of those games where I will be very happy to see the large, enthusiastic crowd, but disappointed at the same time.

Disappointed because so many who will attend will be thinking "if every game/crowd was like this I would attend a lot more games", not taking into consideration that if everyone there tomorrow who felt the same way would actually take the first step and attend more games, it would be a loud, enthusiastic crowd more often than not.

It's like when I was a student, and I would hear so many other students say "if the crowd was like Purdue or IU I would go", not seeming to put it together that if 1000 students who probably all feel the same way all showed up they would get their wish!

I have had this same conversation with students for probably 15 years when I was working with my fraternity's chapter for both football and basketball.

If we become a true winning program, where we are in the hunt year after year they will come. One game wonders like last year doesn't cut it.

You could have waited until three minutes into the game and we behind by ten. Then they will probably let anyone in.
