This sort of thinking just further strengthens my belief that Title IX needs to be repealed. It served its purpose before college athletics morphed into being a business. The landscape has changed and to want Governmental mandates on something that isn't controlled by the institution (as it sits) and for sports that are subsidized and never make a single buck is just insane.
Some women (based on their looks more than anything) are doing quite well under NIL - Livvy Dunne and the Cavinder twins being examples. We're also coming off a year where the most popular basketball player by far and away is a woman.
I think according to the wording, if they can make the team, then they play. If not, they are just like most of us, just fans. Get rid of women's sports and men's sports and just see who can make the team.Just remember that Title IX was NOT (solely) intended to address athletics; girls or women...
Title IX: No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Athletics isn't even mentioned - it's just what everyone chased
