freshman Felisha Johnson barely misses out on qualifying for the NCAA meet by 5 1/2 inches with a 14th place finish (3 way tie) in the shot put (51-01). I think this may be a personal best and the 3rd best in ISU history. (looks like that was a PR for her by almost 3 feet!)

as a side note, if Felisha Johnson had been in the west regional she'd have finished 12th and earned a spot in the NCAA championship meet. She's got a bright future ahead of her.

Kelsey Hanley didn't have a very good day in the hammer throw, finishing 22nd (178-3), she'd thrown 199-09 at the MVC meet.

Brandon Pounds should advance to the final 16 in the shot put, he was 6th in his flight with a 57-3.5" toss. Pretty good throw.

Kylie Hutson tied for first place in the pole vault to earn a shot to defend her 2009 outdoor NCAA title, she did what she needed to do. The top 3 all cleared 13-1.5" and just stopped there, no need to try to do further damage for Kylie.

Erica Moore placed 5th in the 400 meter hurdles (56.58), also advancing to Eugene.

Major Clay advanced to the NCAA championship meet, tying for 1st place by clearing 7-1"

Brandon Pounds finished 19th in the shot put.

Michael Disher will be running in the 3000 meter steeplechase in about a half hour.

the men's & women's steeplechase races will be run tomorrow morning due to bad storms in Greensboro

Michael Disher placed 31st (9:09.52) in the men's steeplechase this morning & did not advance to the NCAA championship meet.

other events ongoing today. Today is the final day of the meet in Greensboro.

So far ISU has 3 qualifiers for the NCAA meet. Moore, Hutson, and Clay. Hope for more today!

Brandon Pounds placed 6th (156-08") in his flight of the discus throw this morning, we'll see if he makes the final round of 16.

Brandon finished 36th in the Discus throw

eh, the girls ran 3:41.18 and were last in their heat, which was a blazing fast heat, so no relays for ISU in Eugene.

4 athletes going to Eugene for ISU, Moore, Hutson, Martin, & Clay.

top 3 teams + next 3 fastest times make the NCAA meet in Eugene
