Here's the link to the story in today's (2/16) TribStar, complete with players interviews and with Coach Rick Heller:

Notes: The story talks about two injuries. Relief pitcher (good long-reliever last year) Reggie Hochsteddler is out for at least two weeks with an elbow injury suffered recently in practice. Also, ISU suffered some misfortune just before the season began. Infielder Michael Eberle was struck in his left eye by a pitched ball last Saturday and will miss the season. Eberle broke his orbital bone and suffered additional injuries to his cheek and jaw bones. He is scheduled to have surgery today.

Sounds like Coach Heller must've had the ex-Wichita State P (Christenson?) throwing batting practice.
Was Eberle in the batting box or on-deck circle?

Horrible news.. I hope that he is able to make a full recovery. I'm sure that his teammate feels horrible as well. It can be tough to recover from hurting a teammate..
