I think this is one thing we agree about. I'm all about anyone living their own life, but someone should be able to use a men's or women's restroom. If you are in the middle, pick one. Nobody cares but Obama.
I hope everyone is still boycotting Target. Their last earnings report was not good.

Man, I would love to go back to college and live in the women's dorm!

Not sure what you mean. I think most people would rather we keep doing restrooms the way we always have. Boys go to boys and girls go to girls. Your sex is defined by what you are. I know North Carolina is not doing that, but I think their approach is wrong. Our school system decided they were not going to change anything. And now at Target, a father or grandfather cannot let their little girl go to the women's restroom without first going in to check it.
 
I always go to Target and will continue to do so. Our constitution protects all. Again, I hate it when this Forum turns political.

Doesn't North Carolina re-issue a new birth certificate once an individual COMPLETES the 'transition'?

Agree with on the Target policy; a poor choice on Target's part

And sadly, you have schools letting children as young as 3-4 YO to 'decide' what sex they are...

There's politics in virtually EVERY thread of life, whether you like it or not. The only reason I posted this is 1) I'm originally from SW Indiana and 2) E-ville has long been a rival of ISU's in various sports, and is currently a fellow MVC member.

As far as the "Constitution protecting all," I think our current President (and his Executive Powers overreach) has proven this wrong on a number of occasions during his two (2) administrations. He's almost single-handedly set back RACE RELATIONS in America 50 yrs., not to mention his sanctification of LGBT behavior in the SAME light. There are inherent values and behavioral expectations in a DOMINANT CULTURE, which create fluidity in relationships. Obama has done everything possible to DESTROY these remnants in just 8 yrs., further dividing America in the process by flooding the U.S. with illegal immigrants and Muslim refugees under the guise of "diversity" (which for three decades was know as "multiculturalism").

BTW, when families opt for a sex-change operation on their 4-yr.old because of "perceived issues" in the child's behavior, it says much about the PROBLEMS of the world we live in today. UE is only fashioning their school to conform to these changes, rather than question the morality that undermines the trend.

Well some of us care about personal freedoms and rights and the federal government butting into our lives and forcing liberal views on us.

Maybe you don't mind if socialism takes over our country, but I do. Liberalism is one step away from socialism.

I think this is a social issue anyway; not political. That's the problem with liberals like Obama. They can't keep there noses out of our business. He should focus on his job.

As a former teacher, I had to educate EVERY student who walked into my classroom. I could not discriminate, nor would I want to. Again, I am not sure why politics enter here to piss off half of the people who are all behind the Sycamores. So much hate here, but I guess most of you live in Trump territory. Most of you probably enjoyed Labor Day, which was brought to you by Unions.

Geez FB72. I see you got a like out of Daveinth...what a shocker there with the Union talk, but as you express your dismay to the forum about it going political ...you do your own political look down your nose....assuming we all live in TRUMP LAND...and we are apparently PINHEADS...which in turn says you must live in HILLARY LAND and therefore way more enlightened out where you live...which Im assuming now is some PROGRESSIVE state like The Peoples Republic of Massachusetts...so anyway thanks for showing your contempt and HATE...for the other half of the forum.

Oh, is that the way they are doing it? I misunderstood. That sounds ok to me. As i stated before, I just don't like, in a public setting like Target, allowing men to go into restrooms with little girls. That's the way I understood their policies to be. I think the Target administration must be sick people.

I don't mind someone building 3rd restrooms for tweeners. But I don't think we should use tax dollars for them.

What determines the transition? That sounds discriminatory? Transition as in surgery? What about those body images is the opposite sex? Can you provide a hotlink to the NC statute that says that.

The NC law requires that you go to the restroom matching your birth certificate.

I don't think this is the way to handle it. If you have a penis, go the the men's; and if you don't, then go to the women's. It doesn't have to be complicated.

The problem is that you will have complaints from someone no matter how you do it and the homosexuals LOVE to protest about anything.
