The one real solid advantage to social media (Twitter and Facebook) is you can semi control the information you read/see.
These days I am unfollowing on Twitter and unfriending on Facebook for 2 reasons.
1. People who post in support of gay marriage. People are posting this red equal sign and rather than posting negative comments to those people or posting that I support marriage between a man and a women I just unfriend or unfollow.
2. Anyone that posts in support of the IU Loosiers. I've been doing this for sometime and it seems as if these little bandwagon bastards keep coming out of the woodwork. I've unfriended and unfollowed over 50 people in the last year for this reason.
3. Senseless hate on Marshall Henderson. He didn't do anything to hurt anyone else, the hate he recieved on my Twitter feed was unnecessary by people who pretend to be experts on every facet.
