respect

Hi Sycamore fans. As someone else said UNI is happy to see the Sycamore's competitive in MVFC. To shed some light on the respect Coach Mark Farley has given ISUb: He said on his coache's call in show last night he is very impressed with the things your team is doing. Great competitiveness. He is not taking the Sycamores lightly. Farley has been criticized by fans of other teams (mainly other Univ for ISU as an acronym) for not acknowledging it was their team that beat UNI, not northern Iowa's mistakes. Farley passes judgement on his own mistakes first and then his team's errors.
For some back up info:
Indiana State is a legitimate football team that is a title contender,” Farley said
“Coach Miles has done an awesome job,” Farley said. “He’s built a program. He didn’t just build a team, he built a program.

"Indiana State is a really good football team," said Farley.

"They've got all the pieces to the puzzle. Anybody should be impressed by what coach Miles has done. He's taken a program that didn't have a lot of things going for it and within a few years, totally turned it in the other direction."

So, yes we are paying due respect.

My prediction, a close game. Less than 7 point differential. I think UNI wins a close one. Maybe the biggest matchup of the year.

It says a lot for how far Coach Miles has taken the program thus far.We have earned a little respect but now it's time to instill a little fear!

I like the way you think. It's time to show the MVFC who the top dog of the future is.

Let's not get too big for our britches quite yet. I want to win this game and I think it's likely...BUT, This is going to be a tough game, no doubt. Big challenge ahead.

Let's just make sure that we don't think the sky is falling if we come away with a loss. UNI is an excellent football team, and they deserve their #2 ranking. Winning this game is a TALL order for us, or anyone else for that matter! Doable, definitely, but terribly difficult...

Two years ago, who would have thought that the next time we visited the UNI-Dome, the game would be between ranked teams with likely conference championship implications??? This is kinda fun, ain't it???

I'd like our chances better if the game was in Terre Haute again. We weren't quite there last year, I think we could be this season, but winning at UNI is a big challenge. I think UNI beats Iowa State and possibly Iowa if by some miracle they got one of those FBS schools to play them in Cedar Falls.

Exactly! Like my old ball coach says, "Not too high, not too low, just be right there in the middle."

The home field advantage will be huge. I hope we can communicate effectively in the dome--it's nothing like we have faced last year or this year. At best a win will be very difficult. A good old fashioned tail kicking is, I guess, a possibility, but I would be shocked at that. I hope for an injury free game, and safe travel for all attending it. Go Trees!!!!
