We've got Bradley on the road on Wednesday night.

After that, it gets real. Beginning with Sunday the 16th and ending February 5th, here's the schedule:

CU, MOST, @WSU, UE, @CU, WSU, @MOST

In the span of 7 games we will play all 6 games against the 3 teams we're tied with or trailing as of the end of play tonight. I'm glad we're playing good ball right now, but it would be nice to get Lathan and/or Kelly back by Sunday. One game at a time is always the mantra, but coming out of that stretch, we should really know where this team stands. 9-4 in MVC play after that murderer's row would make me very confident going into the last leg of the regular season.

ahaha glad you posted this had a text after the game that reads, "Deciding stretch for the Sycamores is 16th thru Feb. 5th 6 of 7 games vs. Creighton, Miss St. WSU with a home game vs. Evansville...

Couldn't agree with either of you more, however in college basketball and sports in general we play 1 game at a time and a win come Wednesday night would be soooo huge!

That's funny stuff! I wasn't the one who texted you!

I definitely agree with your second paragraph, though. Wednesday night is what matters right now. Every road win is precious in this league.

If I didn't have a 5th and 7th grade basketball game to coach at the B&G Club on Wednesday night I would be making that drive to Bradley, with or without my friends... LOL!

I've watched most of the Wichita State vs Mo State game tonight at Wichita and I'll say a couple of things. One, they BOTH are pretty good ballclubs. I can certainly see why WSU is a tough place to play. WSU has quite the atmosphere in their house to put it mildly. It went down to the wire with Missouri State winning 58-56. Snapped a long home winning streak for the Shockers. What a shame. I remember when we did that at SIU, that was SWEET.

Both teams shot at or nearly below 50% from the FT line I do believe, horrible. Either team makes some free throws they win that ball game by a comfortable margin. Beatable, that might have been an important game for both teams but the MVC title has to come through the HC. LOL! :sycamores:

I know lots of fans don't like WSU...but I'd have liked to have had them win this one at home...road win for MSU puts them in a big time drivers seat as they won at CU and UNI as well.

Kicking myself because I got talked into picking WSU before the season began...I still think MSU's bench is short but when your starting five is the best in the league (just my opinion) then sometimes that doesn't matter as much...they do have 2 or 3 serviceable guys that come in as well (Caleb Patterson and Nathan Scheer come to mind).

Being a fan of both CU and ISUb...I would have preferred to have the home team win tonight for sure.

Little Eddie,

Glad to see you're still following Sycamore basketball. We wish your brother the best out west with Coach Altman.

As for here in Terre Haute...this is starting to get really fun!

The more I think about it, the more this next game is important to win and should be treated as such. The uncertainty of how the Syc's will do vs the big boys means they CAN NOT falter vs the lower tier teams when they play (whether that's at home or on the road). They also need to keep that confidence/momentum going so play like it's your last game on Wednesday and beat Zoolander and his Braves.

I am confident that last nights game and Wednesday nights game will be treated as must win games for the Sycamores. I know for a fact that they treated last night with that kind of mindset because one of the players on the team told me that point blank.
