Lauren Martin was 9th in the triple jump at the meet this afternoon, jumping 42-8.75, which was better than her best jump at the NCAA meet at Oregon.

results today so far from ISU athletes at the USA track and field championship meet in Des Moines.

in the men's steeplechase ISU alum Jordan Fife placed 17th in 8:59.85, not advancing to the finals.

Stacia Weatherford won her heat of the Jr. 400 meter hurdles and advanced to the finals (1:02.31)

Erica Moore just placed 3rd in her heat of the women's 400 meter hurdles, advancing to the semi-finals (57.56)

the meet is on ESPN tonight from 8-10 (EST)

Erica Moore's outstanding career at ISU comes to a close today in Des Moines. Erica was 8th in her heat of the women's 400 meter hurdles semi-finals (59.58) and did not advance to the finals. It was BRUTALLY hot and humid in Des Moines today. Everyone is suffering in these conditions.

What a career she had though!

Erica Moore has been a joy to watch. What a great athlete! I hope she decides to pursue the sport at Tennessee or Colorado. She loves track and field. It was difficult to tell what happened today but late in the race it was apparent that her rhythm was off.

Stacia Weatherford was 7th in the finals of the Jr. 400 meter hurdles, again, in very HOT and humid conditions in Des Moines. Former ISU athlete Aubrey Herring did not advance to the next round in the 110 meter high hurdles, placing 19th in 13.96

Kylie Huston and Major Clay in action for ISU today, meet starts at 1pm (EST). Should be on TV today also.
 
Major Clay finished in a tie for 9th place today, clearing 7-2.5". A pretty good outing for him today. Better than what he cleared at the NCAA meet I believe.

Kylie Hutson is still vaulting, having cleared 14-1.25" already. 9 girls remain in the pole vault at this time.
 
Another great Sycamore career comes to a close today in Des Moines. Kylie Hutson placed 7th in the pole vault, unable to clear 14-5.25". Still a great career with great things ahead of her!
