I still have an original one from 1979. Bet there are a few more around too that were purchased before the NCAA made Osco Drug on Wabash stop selling them.

Seems to me they were either in the old F.W.Woolworth store (or was it Kresge's) between 6th & 7th or somewhere near 5th, but do remember it was on the south side of the street (I think ?). Memory fades after a while.

I think there was one on Wabash Ave..... Ahhhhhhhh the memories............... good times fer sure.....and that's a fact Jack!!

I picked out my 1st pair of ice skates from F.W. Woolworth in '60...boy did we have some kick-ass hockey games behind our home in NTH when Otter Creek froze over! Ah yes, the dayz...

That was "Haag's," which was built after a mid-60's fire destroyed 3/4 of the block. Saw it yesterday while looking thru "A Pictorial History of Terre Haute" by Judy Calvert & Dorothy Jerse @ the Vigo Co. Library. Going back today...I'll check it out. There was another drug store nearer to Wabash & 7th, but can't think of its name. BTW, Calvert & Jerse also produced another neat book in '94, "A Pictorial History of Otter Creek Township," which has a number of great photos from my Aunt's archives re: Markle Mill Dam. Her husband was the STEAM ENGINEER when it burned in 1938.
