Just showed the plans on Orlando TV...to include 24 ball fields, and players will "enter the fields" by walking thru the cornfields...
Now that's corny, especially to youngsters whose only concern for "Black Sox" would occur after being yelled at by their mom before entering home on a rainy day! Glad I'm not an investor...:hot:
Cocoa Expo, a similar nearby facility, just went thru bankruptcy. They now again have PUBLIC $$$ helping out. Shortly following the Houston Astro's move to Kissimmee in the early 80's, MLB umpire's JOE BRINKMAN & BRUCE FROEMING purchased to facility, hosting a MLB Umpire School & various HS/College baseball "Spring Training" tournaments.

It's a highly competive business, w/ ESPN's Wide World of Sports in Orlando also offering similar amenities.
