From the Statesman by By Brianne Hofmann:

Three buildings on Indiana State University’s campus, including the building that houses President Daniel J. Bradley’s office, will be without hot water for at least the next two weeks.

Water woes brings back memories of the '60s when Sandison Hall was without water for a few days. We were told to use facilities on the corresponding floor in Gillum Hall. My sign declaring "Gillum Hall, the world's largest outhouse" was found to be inappropriate by both dorm directors--just no sense of humor.

LOL - the ol' "dorm rivalry" dayz...I've still got my blue & white ISU "Beanie" that frosh were forced to wear or get thrown "in jail" on the Quad.

BTW, last week while in the 'Haute I stumbled upon a group of retired ISU coaches just "hang'n" @ McDonalds (3rd & Ohio) - Track Coach BILL MALLOY and Basketball Coach DUANE KLEUH were notables seated around the table, sipping their morning java & hashing life issues. Malloy noted that he recently joined the "bionic generation," having hip replacement surgery. I guess those early years of pounding the pavement in less-than optimum running shoes have taken a cumulative toll. Look @ the shoe design TODAY v. the late 60's. My knees (and hips) are hurting just thinking about it...

Remember "cinder tracks"---Throw that in the mix with the shoes "back in the day" and see what you get...

The only problem I ever had w/ the cinder track @ Castle HS was that it cut thru the heart my CF territory on the CHS Baseball diamond and wasn't the perfect type of turf to field ground balls on or set for a SF/tag throw. Running wise, my younger bros. broke the Warrick County Jr. HS mile record (8th grade) while breaking 5 min in '72 w/ a broken foot, so it couldn't have been too bad!
