Throw Villanova over Temple in the mix. We play Friday at the "Linc" beat Temple last year on last second FG, Im sure they are gonna be hungry to stop that from happening this year but hopefully we pull that off.

Good luck, not that the defending FCS championships will need much.

Ill. State winning in the 3rd over Central Missouri 40-30

SIU over Quincy 70-7, over 15,000 in attendance

WIU over Valpo 45-0

EKU at MSU postponed until Friday at 1pm

I bet we have 7000 in attendance for the ISU game...ISU does have a masive new freshmen class and 960 new students (enrollment is now almost 11,500). Besides it's the first game of the season and under lights

I hope you are right. I am pretty sure it will be more than 5K and 7K is a possiblity. The team deserves it, and the fans deserve it. Let's ALL make it a special day. Hopefully everyone will bring a flashlight so we can see the game. Homecoming will be the biggest in a decade or more, I assure you. Sycamore Nation is on a roll~

Illinois State almost loses to a D2 team and gives up 54 points...54 POINTS!!!!!???? They won 55-54. Is this the same team that was picked 3rd in the MVC? I'm just fact checking here and of course rubbing it in a little. I think this may prove they may be a little overrated. I'm confident our boys will show up Saturday...I've seen too much progress to be convinced otherwise.

if Illinois State's pass defense is that bad, teams are gonna have a field day against them all season long, here's to hoping the ISU blue pass game is working well in a few weeks.

as a side note, attendance.....4042

Obviously, I am not overly fond of the lights either. Since we are lucky to play one game a year with them on, I guess we can give RP a pass but I still remember how the light from the Video Board on the NW side of the field during the Quincy game last year actually glowed brighter than the lights 100 ft. above it. I'll bring a zippo.
