Week 8 in the MVFC.........schedule, predictions?

wow, it's week 8 already, only 5 more games to go for ISU, 3 on the road, 2 at home.

Indiana State at NDSU (I think if ISU can establish the passing game early on and open it up for Gates and Bell we could see an end to that 32 game road losing streak, it'll be tough in Fargo though. N. Dak. St.'s last win in Fargo vs. and MVFC team was in 2008 vs...........Indiana State)

WIU at Missouri State (would like to see WIU win, but will MSU lose it's 3rd straight game?)
YSU at S. Dak. St. (YSU looking at it's 4th straight loss if it doesn't get it's act together in brookings)
Illinois State at Northern Iowa (we needs the Redbirds to win at UNI)
SIU vs. Bye (as bad as SIU has looked this season, I'll go with Bye)

Indiana State- I just see us being A HUGE mismatch for a team that just struggled to hold onto the ball and stop the run...I see Fouch having a slow start again but then breaking out in the second half for a couple of HUGE plays...
WIU- They are just too good not to put the nail in the coffin of Terry Allen and the bears.
Ill State at UNI- I don't know where to go with this one...the Offense for the redbirds is dynamic and Panthers don't know of this word offense we thought it was spelt with a defense...push
YSU- I just don't see the Penguin's struggles continuing WAY too much talent....
 
it's funny how some posters on the N. Dak. St. message board are thinking this is gonna be a blowout win for the Bye-zun, they don't pay attention to anything outside their own team. I really believe they are gonna be in for a rude awakening this weekend. ISU may not win, but they have the best shot to win their 1st road game in eons.

if ISU wins the suicide hotline in Fargo is gonna be lit up for weeks!

N. Dak. St. couldn't stop the ILS run game last weekend in BloNo, I think our run game is even better than ILS's run game, plus we have a great passing game. When our QB throws for over 200 yards in ONE quarter you know he can make some great passes.
 
Yeah they have serious issues on stopping the run as I saw...It would be different if the Redbirds had been running up and down the field on us...but they werent and they did run up and down the field on the bison lol

Have to cheer against WIU as long as we're still in the hunt for a conference championship. We need them to lose a few.

I just went over there to checkout what they're saying. Most think it will be a tight game and some even have us winning.
 
I think it will be a close game...look at the adjustments MSU made....they had a good pass D on sat...the week prior they were terrible...I don't think they are last in stopping the pass by any means...I think the fact they play a 3-4 defense and mixed up some looks caused some of the disruptions...So I think the rest of the conference games will be close...all of the teams seem to be even this year...there aren't really any powerhouses...MSU lost two overtime games...NIU, SIU, etc...just close...but it will be a good game...

i believe this will be a tight game and the outcome going either way. yes, the sycamores are flying high right now. but putting stats aside, i would not be surprised if we become "satisfied" like we did against MSU. luckily we recognized that and we turned it up in the final quarter for the W. also, NDSU is gonna want to pummel us, we are going into their place, we are riding a win streak, and they are struggling. that to me makes me think that the bison will come out looking to kill someone. But if our sycamores come out and play like we no they can and avoid a let down we win by 2 touchdowns.
