Over the next couple of weeks I am going to do be doing some Q & A with some of Indiana State’s incoming Freshman Cross Country runners. As most of you know Indiana State Cross Country has won 3 strait MVC Conference Championships and has long been one of the most consistent and accomplished programs in school history. To view the 2012 Cross Country schedule and roster http://www.sycamorerunner.com/2012-mens-cross-country-season-preview/
First up is Freshman David Timlin of Lane Tech High School in Chicago, IL. Timlin has gone 1:54 in 800 meters, 4:18 in 1600 meters and 9:33 in 3200 meters. Timlin could be a factor for the Sycamores this coming season if his training is right. Timlin was coached at Lane Tech by Indiana state alum Tony Jones. Jones is part of a long list of athletes who were coached by John McNichols that have gone on to coach at track and field and cross country at all levels of competition.
