Some of you locals might enjoy this very well done video that was prepared for the Indiana READI Grant an effort to obtain over $70 million in funding to help advance many of these projects - of which some funding sources already exist. It’s not for 100% funding of every single project you see here - obviously.

A lot of really good things happening behind the scenes. We hear from some of our friends on here how corrupt and terrible this community is - I think this video will really shine a light on how great this community is, the planning for our future that is taking place and the level of collaboration necessary to continue to improve the Wabash Valley.

And just to be clear - my only involvement in this video or any of the projects is that I’m a proud lifelong resident of this community… That’s it. Sharing for others that might be interested.

How are the READI grants funded? state? local? state allocation from fed block grant?

Again - not real informed on the process myself. https://www.iedc.in.gov/program/indiana-readi/about#skip-header

From what I heard students from ISU, Rose, SMWC and maybe Ivy Tech submitted the Wabash Valley proposal last week and it was very well done... But beyond that I don't know much.

From what I can tell it's a state of Indiana initiative - the money goes to the winning region/application. From the looks of it - we will know if we are receiving any funding by the end of the year or first of next year at the latest.
