I was unaware that you could just cancel games because you don’t feel like playing at any level of competitiveness. Not the biggest fan of what kind of message this sends. If you are going to get your ass kicked; take it like a man and move on.
I remember when UNI had that devastating loss to Texas am in the tourney and I said that it was a program defining loss. So far that has rung true, they havnt been the same since that day.

Yeah right, you mean versus their program defining WINS in the tournament?
Do you think if we ever beat #1 seed that sycamore fans would be wallering in some BS tournament loss, or remembering the glory days beating of a #1 Seed?
First, we WERE a number #1 seed. And had one of the most important teams/player in NCAA history. And here we are “wallering” before, during, and after every game.
You can’t tell me UNI is the same program they were 5 years ago. Sports are cyclical, but you can point directly at that 2 minute dumpster fire as the moment UNI lost their edge.

I really don't care that we were #1 a half century ago...and if UNI is such a dumpster fire, then why were they picked to win the MVC this year?
Plus, they didn't lose to Texas in a dumpster fire, THEY BEAT TEXAS and then lost to Texas A&M in Double OT in 2016. See Western Region bracket in the wiki link below.
And in the last 16 years they were regular season champs 5 times and runner-up twice, and MVC tournament champions 5 times and runner-up once. That's one heck of a record against the likes of Creighton and Wichita State and recent Final Four Finalist Loyola...and other MVC competition....and Private Schools like Bradley with an endowment of $306 Million Dollars....which is only FIVE TIMES the size of ours. If UNI has lost their edge and is a Dumpster Fire, then how would you describe us? LOL!

UNI literally choked the Texas game away, but bailed themselves out by hitting a half court shot. Texas exposed them for not handling the press and Texas A&M went with the same strategy late.
UNI choked big time against Bradley in the championship game in 2019. They seemed to return to form last season before being blown out by Drake in the first round.
I don't know, UNI is a good program in my view, but I think they are a little overrated in the prestige category. They have a Sweet 16, but other than that they are like a Creighton or Murray State. They do well in conference play but seem to fade out in the NCAA tournament when they make it. They had that team with Seth Tuttle that finished something like 31-3 and they still lost in the round of 32.
