Gotta think Sterling Young is going to be a starter for us.

Coaching staff needs to get another impact guard or 2. Teel was awesome for us last year, but the lack of production from Cook and Summers was a Huge reason for a sub .500 season. Having multiple guards that can create and score in multiple ways is the straw that stirs the drink

At some point we might want to consider some more size/length , especially losing Kingston Land. Bradley just got a 7-footer and Valpo has multiple players 6'8 or taller. Just a thought.

While yes having size and length is a nice bonus it doesn't trump just being a outstanding basketball player but undersized. I think as fans we romanticize of those 6'6"- 7' players as they are what a "peak" basketball player should be size wise. Yeah you want to look like a basketball team getting off the bus but typically in the MVC if you have a 6'6"+ guy that can ball out he isn't playing in the MVC. Undersized guys that are really good basketball players have typically been a winning combination at this level. Look at our 6 from a few years ago; Swope, Larry, Conwell, Kent, Avila, Bledson, overall that's a rather undersized team with Conwell and Kent being the only + sized guys for their position.

So while size and length is important in this game I wouldn't get too discouraged or encouraged by it

To be good defensively you have to have rim protection. We never had it last year. Unless you have height and/or length you can't protect anything. Unfortunately, few players put an emphasis on positioning in the paint especially if they're undersized.

No disagreement. I do think our rim protection will be better than most probably expect, if these 4 players remain healthy all season: Vorst, Enel, Jayan, & Marcus.

Vorst has good size, has hops, & will get more minutes. Enel 6'6" and would easily win a slam dunk contest, potential to become a block machine. Remember watching Jayan block All Wright at the Hulman Center, and while Marcus doesn't jump high, he is a big body that will clog the paint. Hope his offense improves, but expecting solid hustle D & improved rebounding from him.

He is from a D2 school in Georgia called Georgia college and State University

He averaged 19.6 points per game

1.6 assists and 4.4 rebounds

He hit 80 3’s at 38%

I honestly love our approach.

Say what you want about the 'level' they come from, but we're 3/3 on guys that avg over 17 ppg from where they're coming. Clearly a different approach than a team like Murray who is doing the <5 ppg high major player route. Will it work out? We'll see this year.

Yeah. After being somewhat impatient early on I think our coaches might have had a pretty good strategy waiting some time. Fingers crossed!!

yeah its impossible to judge until the ball starts getting thrown into the air.

I really think it would change fans perspectives if we knew what players are getting at every school. If team "A" coach had an NIL roster of $500,000 while team "B" coach had a $150,000 roster. and team "A" finished the year 18-15 while team "B" went 15-18, I think majority of fans would be more impressed with coach "B" and everyone would ask if the extra $350,000 spent for 3 more wins was really worth it?

FAU had a million dollar roster last year with serious talent and went 18-16; color me not impressed by that coach
