All the hoopla b.s. going on with the White Sox. They are a major league baseball franchise not a day care. I agree wholeheartedly with their stance in telling LaRoche to leave his kid at home. It never should have been added in on a contract in the first place. Shame on White Sox and their lawyers for allowing it originally. What if all 25-30 players brought their kids every damned day ???????????
Ridiculous that it went on this long. Glad he retired and moved on.

"Then White Sox executive vice president Kenny Williams advised LaRoche this spring that he had to "scale back" the amount of time his son spent in the clubhouse."

"Later, I was told not to bring him to the ballpark at all," LaRoche said. "Obviously, I expressed my displeasure toward this decision to alter the agreement we had reached before I signed with the White Sox."

LaRoche doesn't know if some of his teammates were complaining about the presence of his son in the locker room all the time. Kenny Williams merely wanted him to reduce some of the time.
Teams might allow the luxury of kids in the locker to their star players sometimes. LaRoche is no longer a star player! The Sox will be better off without him.
