NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Mike Sears' three-run home run in the top of the fifth broken the game open and No. 22 Indiana State jumped out to a nine-run lead on their way to topping No. 4 Vanderbilt, 10-2, on Tuesday night at Hawkins Field.

So, were your hitters unavailable too? Just chalk it up to you got your ass beat and that's that. There's always some excuse to why you got beat by Indiana State.

I’m going Friday night. Weather should be decent, but considerably colder rest of weekend. What a shame. Last home series is Murray State on Mothers Day weekend.

Go Trees!

Tim Corbin called it as it was, I have a lot of respect for Vanderbilt and Tim Corbin. The Sycamores did hand them a "major (expletive) kicking". Sycamores mid-week pitchers produced and the bats did too, Vanderbilt did not. I put most of the excuses on the writer of the article. I read the article more as Corbin calling his own players out, "they are on scholarship and expected to produce." These bullpen type games are very typical in mid-week games. Their pitching staff walked ten batters last night, that would get every coach in America's blood boiling. Regardless, huge win for the Sycamores and they must be ready for the weekend.

Same.

Corbin basically said yes we had to use pitchers that we didn’t expect to but we recruited and signed them for a reason and they didn’t get the job done. The writer shaded it a little more to the “excuses” side than Corbin IMO

Great interview, Mitch Hannahs is a great ambassador for Indiana State University. He came across as very humble and very sincere. Best of luck Coach!
