Very impressed with the deal the Titans GM got. Titans will be a much improved team off this trade and will be a serious threat in the AFC South. They get #15, #43, #45, #76 and then a 2017 1st and 3rd round pick and only give the Rams #1, #113, #177. I don't think there is a single player in the top of this draft worth that much but there are a lot of good players.

Tennessee now have picks #15, #33, #43, #45, #64, #76, #140, #193 and #222. The Rams now have picks #1, #110, #113, #177 and #190.

Rams trying to win the press conference after moving to LA.

A lot of people were saying the same thing about the Rams when the Redskins gave up the farm to move up to draft RGIII. It all depends on what you do with those picks. If the Rams had actually used those first round picks wisely they wouldn't have had to make this trade.

But, you're right...LA is going to expect glitz and flash, and trading up for the #1 pick will do just that. So...I'm guessing they're drafting Wentz #1 overall?

There are only three guys I'd consider at #1 - Ramsey, Wentz and Tunsil. You would think there is no way they double mortgage the house on an offensive lineman or corner. You give up that much, you need to get someone that has their hand on the ball at all times IMO. My favorite mock site had Wentz going #2 to Cleveland so my guess is that is the answer.

As for Tennessee, they needed help along the lines so they are going to be able to draft a ton of talented guys there.

Also, NFL.com says that the Rams-Skins deal is the third worst draft trade ever:

Redskins receive: 2012 first-rounder (No. 2: QB Robert Griffin III)
Rams receive: 2012 first-rounder (No. 6: Traded to Cowboys), 2012 second-round selection (No. 39: CB Janoris Jenkins), 2013 first-rounder (No. 22: Traded to Falcons), 2014 first-rounder (No. 2: OT Greg Robinson)

Through additional draft trades, the Rams also acquired LB Alec Ogletree, DT Michael Brockers, WR Stedman Bailey, RB Zac Stacy, RB Isaiah Pead and OG Rokevious Watkins. Ogletree, Brockers and Jenkins are all starters on the Rams' defense. Robinson is the team's starting left tackle, and Bailey is a regular contributor in the passing and return games. It should be noted that RGIII earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, was a Pro Bowl selection and led the Redskins to the playoffs in 2012.

Agreed. It has to be to draft Wentz. The Titans can draft a lot of good, solid line depth with all of those picks. I just worry that they are replicating the Rams' issue back in 2012. The Rams thought they were solid at QB with Bradford just like the Titans assume they are solid at QB for the future with Mariota.

I've heard rumor the Browns want to trade out of the two spot as well, and they actually need a QB (Griffin is no sure answer), but it suggests they don't want to waste another pick on a QB bust. If so many teams weren't desperate for a QB, this is the type of year where you probably wouldn't normally see a QB taken until the bottom half of the top 10, if not later. None of the QB prospects are a sure thing.

Well, the Browns are idiots. That is well documented. I wouldn't draft a QB if I were them, either.

If the Rams jumped them to take Wentz, they can take Ramsey or Tunsil and be sitting pretty. The fact that the Rams got fleeced so bad will probably have a lot of teams gun shy about moving up to the #2 spot unless someone really falls in love with Ramsey. They are saying he is the best athlete in this draft. He was the first freshman to start at corner for Florida State since Deion Sanders. 6'1, 210 with a 4.41 40 at corner?

Draft him and count your blessings, Brownies. Even Kevin Costner would have made that pick.

Rams just made a big move to LA they need an impact QB now. Probably had to do it.

Read today that since 1990 20 QB's have been drafted either one or two. Only two of them have played in a super bowl - Peyton and Eli Manning.

Cam Newton would make 3, no?

But still, that's pretty telling that you're not finding "the guy" at those spots unless he is a one-in-a-decade player.
