Underwood picks Indiana State: Another standout from the Mid-Illini Conference made a verbal commitment to play college football.

"Connor Underwood has accepted a full ride from Indiana State," Washington coach Darrell Crouch said of the two-way standout.

Underwood, a two-time JS All-Area selection, is Washington's career leader in solo tackles and No. 2 all-time in sacks and tackles-for-loss. Underwood's older brother Colton, the 2009 JS POY, plays football at Illinois State.

Washington linebacker Connor Underwood’s signing with Indiana State makes a pair of brothers in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.

The career leader in solo tackles and catalyst for the 2010 Mid-Illini Conference champions will join older brother and Illinois State freshmen, Colton Underwood, at the Football Championship Subdivision level.

But even the signing day celebration scheduled at the Indiana State Memorial Stadium Fieldhouse was canceled due to inclement weather in Terre Haute, Ind.

I thought the coverage was excellent all day (and not just a biased comment, ha). Needless to say, I was watching that closely--Sudfield did not have his primary or secondary options open very much at all any time during the game.
