Tyler Greathouse 6'8 Columbus North is a flat out shooter who is adding a driving game. He has good post moves, but rarely posts. Aggressiveness, rebounding, and defense is holding him from being a mid-major prospect right now.
4. Tyler Greathouse 6’8 Columbus North M Good outside shooter, good post moves. Very similar to Justin Gant, Greathouse needs to be more aggressive offensively and rebounding.
Now has offers from Creighton, IPFW, Indiana Wesleyan, Olivet Nazarene and Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and is drawing interest from Ball State, Butler, Evansville, IUPUI, Miami (Ohio), Richmond, Southern Illinois and Western Michigan. Has added another inch and 10 pounds.
Greathouse is a power forward that is tough and welcomes contact in the post. He also has good skill and an excellent basketball IQ. He does a great job on the boards because he is active and competes for rebounds in and out of his area. Greathouse can also spot up with range to the arc with needed time and space. He can face up and burn the defense with short drives to the rim or with a pinpoint pass to a cutting teammate. He is crafty in the lane and does a great job of drawing fouls as well. Greathouse values every possession and has very good upside.
I watched him play Franklin Central last season. Granted, it was only one game, but I didn't see anything that even remotely said, "Oh, a D-I player..." of anyone on the floor. I'm no talent evaluator, but I hate to think I'd miss that badly!!!:eek7:
Didn't see much out of this kid besides sitting beyond the arc and shooting threes. Not much effort defensively and didn't rebound. Shyed away from contact. I think he may have some issues at the next level depending on where he plays as he may be a little too slow for the SF spot and not physical enough for the 4.
