Austin Burgett - Speice Indy Stars - Burgett really caught my eye this weekend. He is a legit 6'9 at this point and appears to still have some growth left in him. He defends the post and the perimeter well. His post moves are solid and full of finesse, which is good as he is still slight of frame. He hit several midrange J's and a few threes while I watched, including a pull up trey on the break after he got a steal in transition defense. I like this kid a lot and I can see why Cincinnati and Iowa have offered him and why other schools like IU are close to pulling the trigger.

Avon, Indiana 2012 big man Austin Burgett received offers from Iowa and Northwestern. He already had an offer on the table from Cincinnati and his recruitment is early but he has interest from Indiana, Purdue, Butler, Louisville, and others. Burgett is already 6'7 and growing and has reliable range to the three point line to go with several post moves and a good handle. He will be a hot commodity this time next year!

This is the kind of thing I was talking about in other threads. Why is Xavier beating Indiana State in offering local prospects? Does this staff not realize that exposure is a good thing?

Ohio also offered him. Not Ohio State, but Ohio. Yes, I agree it is a head scratcher and I'm not sure how long McKenna will be around if he doesn't up the recruiting efforts. As the eight grade recruiting thread stated, you've got to be on these guys as early as possible.

Picked up an offer from Notre Dame. Now has offers from Cincinnati, Northwestern, Butler, Xavier, Ohio and Delware. Also is getting mail from Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana and Purdue.
