OK, last year we averaged 5,478 people at each game. An improvement over previous years to be sure. What do you think the attendance might jump to this year? I really think the Wabash Valley area is starved for winning college football and is willing to support a team like Indiana State if we continue on the upward trajectory that Coach Miles has us on. What do you think we will average this season? What do you consider progress on that front?

The jury is out on our fan base. The product is good. We've got a great coach and not only good players, but quality guys you can feel good rooting for. The tickets are not just affordable, they're down right cheap. There is rarely anything else going on at 2:05pm on a Saturday afternoon in the Haute.

I'd like to see us hit around the 7k number. I think anything higher may be too ambitious but would be absolutely fantastic. I really hope that we see more students again this year.

I wish attendance was between 8000 and 10,000, plus larger for homecoming. Wonder if Butler will bring many fans. Would be great if a business bought all of the tickets for one game and gave them away. I know this has happened in the past in basketball.

Starting times at 2:00 (3:00 for Homecoming) should help numbers as well, especially with students. I'm cautiously optimistic that if the team is getting the job done on the field, we'll see 8,000+ at a couple games besides Homecoming. Wild Card: The weather.
 
I hope to see those kinds of numbers, but the problem is still this statement, "the Irish are playing!' or "The Boilers are playing!" Too many students and alumni focusing on other schools and the change will happen when ISU has established a winning record for a few seasons.
