Hello everyone.

I'm actually not an Indiana State alum, just a big college basketball fan. As I've been based in Italy for the past few years, I've become more and more interested in Italian and European basketball as well, and recently I've been hearing rumors about one of the country's best prospects, Amedeo Della Valle, heading to a Div I school. Apparently that school is Indiana State, or at least that's what they're saying around here. Couldn't find anything on the internet to confirm that, though, other than some people talking about it on an Italian message board, so I looked for a Sycamores forum to ask if anyone has heard something about this.

Sounds like an interesting prospect but must be a well kept secret if he's heading our way?

The one thing that seems to be pretty much certain is that the kid will indeed move to the US and play college basketball, but as far as the name of the school goes I only heard this particular rumor and I have no idea where it originally came from, so it might well be BS - I apologize in advance if that's the case. He's probably just waiting before announcing where he's going because of academic reasons. I guess we'll know soon enough.

He's a combo guard, around 6'3" w/o shoes. Good shooter from the outside, can score in a variety of ways, nice fundamentals, plays with great energy. Talent-wise, he's definitely Division I caliber. Main weakness at this point is his physical profile, he's very skinny and if he ever goes to the US he'll have to hit the weight room hard from day one. There should be a couple of youtube videos on him if you're interested.

Sounds like he is a perfect fit if he comes here.
 
So he'd be a 2011 or 2012 kid? Unless he is coming to campus THIS year, he'd have to be a 2012 kid. Guess there would be one scholarship open, too.
