As the numbers show, the KEY for all success this year, continues to go through TYREKE.

I rewatched the game this morning, and as you may have noticed from last night, when he wasn't in the game; we're just NOT the same team.

Consequently...he needs to play Doug McDermott, Fred VanVleet and Ron Baker type minutes; to take us to the promised land.

During this 8 game winning streak JB has been the top assist guy 7 of 8 games - he's totally changed the dynamic of his offensive game in a way I never imagined he would allow himself to do and it's made the team better and I think it's made him better... He's not been into himself either from what I've seen - just playing the game the right way. Been a joy to watch! He's going to have a few more games this year where we need him for 20+ so it's not like he's not going to shoot - I want him shooting all the good shots he can take.

But JB is currently at 59th in the nation in assist to turnover ratio is pretty good!

Giving this more context, his A/TO ratio has hit and is above what he put down as a freshman when everyone thought he was going to be great. We always knew he could score, but when he was setting up BS4, Van Scyoc and others as a freshman, we were all salivating. He finished with a 1.9 that year and then put up back-to-back 1.3 numbers. This year he is currently sitting at 2.3 to 1 which is the highest mark since Jake's senior year where he finished with a 2.5 to 1 number -- his only season above 2 to 1.

Only 3 guys that played this decade had A/TO ratios above 2.0 and they include Jake, Jordan Printy, Everett Clemons and if JB can stay above the mark, he will join them.

The other thing I've really like from JB this year is his defense has seemed to really improve. He is stealing the ball right now at a JO-level clip. I think the JO influence is also a factor. There was a steal he had last game that was a JO special where he'd act like he was playing off and look away briefly knowing the ball was going to be swung his way and then jumped the pass. JO was an absolute master at that. If he can keep this up against all of the good guards in the Valley, we're going to have a great year.
