During FDU-Purdont game, Painter was quoted that he is going to be all Big Ten after Edey leaves. Had to imaging him leaving with that type of support.

Yeah, every coach is going to preach continuity. Bottom line to me is they kept running a 6'5" Gillis out there at the PF who was no threat offensively and Purdue should have had Renn or one of their littany of bigs out there to help take pressure off Edey. Painter lost that game, plain and simple.
