I was called a racist by another person on this forum and nobody cared and nobody defended me. That is much worse than being called out for my race.

Said he was mad the other coach got out of the coaches box to talk with the refs. Pretty poor excuse and then to get into his face. Seems to be a fiesty guy

Maybe you as a black man are ok with white people calling you the N word and can simply ignore it. And if so good for you. Many others or us are not, for many reasons, and see no reason why we should have to tolerate that behavior.
You can't control crowds. If someone insults you in any way, consider the source. I am white. I understand why anyone would be offended if they were called that. People that you care about will not call you that in that way. Is it that important if the person is a scumbag stranger?
Blacks are not the only ones that can be called names. Don't make it a racial thing.

I don't know what the prevailing thought is, but I think that both coaches were at fault for their part in it. But it was in battle. Tensions were high. (Note: I went out on ESPN and watched the whole thing this morning)
Ya, totally agree. No need for talk like that in any game situation.
And it was not tolerated. Do you think the fan would have been removed if he had called a white player poor white trash or cracker or SOB? He might have been. Don't know.

That’s the refs job to control that coach. Especially after the racial slur by the fan. That coach showed poise by not letting The ISU Red Coach get him upset to shove him back or even take a swing. Showed your players a real lesson on patience.
My guess is that the Northfolk coach made some kind of comment to State's coach like you need to control your stupid ass fans and that's what caused the coaches square off. Just my guess
It is different. They listen to the music that has that word because they choose to, and they are not experiencing hatred from a White fan like that was. White guy says it in that situation, because he’s a coward, and knows he can get away with it. Wouldn’t say it to him One on One in private.
