Zero hurry for the last two. Get the BPAs for what you think the weaknesses are. I'd still like to see another athletic 2 that can also shoot in the last 2.
I think if we get 1 more that is cut from the same clothe as Teal & Cook we should be ready to ride next year.

That would put us with 3 guards that can score, 1 good looking incoming big man, and a really good looking Juco tweener. Roll that out with what should be an improved Gray and Vorst & Daughtry with their feet under them. I think we could find a solid 6 or 7 out of that crew. Bring in Wagner, 2 good looking freshman and a wildcard for the last schollie, and I'd be confident we find our 8 maybe 9 needed to compete in the upper half of the valley

Not that it matters much, but Graves' Recruitment Power Score in verbalcommitts is easily the highest in the MVC. I must say that I am excited to see how these dudes play together. This next season might be pretty exciting.... Obviously, the brand and style is attractive to many players! The coaching staff is very solid! Easily, the best in the MVC top to bottom. Sless was a great get! The staff might be a top mid major staff... Hell, many P5 schools.... Well. Hold up... I'm stopping...

I will add.... ISU RPS is higher than any A10 team including SLU.... Recruiting quality players in high demand. Time to donate so we can retain this time.

Say hey, whaddya say, there's an article in the IndyStar about ISU basketball and it ain't even basketball season. It doesn't have any info in it that we don't already know, but it's nice to have some continued exposure in the Circle City...

I'm bored but also a little energized after reading Golden's article spotlighting Aaron Gray. So, I bring you an annoying "dude, it's too soon" guess at our game-1 starting five...

G: Teel
SG: Summers
F: Daughtry
F: Gray
C: Harding

My lame reasoning for the picks...

Teel, senior who shot better than 40% from three at Presbyterian, 2.7 apg so hopefully he'll be even more of a facilitator in our system.
Summers, a scorer in HS and at the JC level, I'm optimistic his ability will translate at D1.
Daughtry, oh I don't think there's any secret that I'm a JD fan, am truly hopeful he proves his potential prowess in his sophomore season.
Gray, he didn't get much of a chance last year and was kinda forced into giving up a year of eligibility, he's gonna take advantage of his final season.
C: Harding, giving him the edge over Vorst only because he's a senior and had good numbers in his junior season.

The starting 5 is so easy and I can't believe you missed.
Gray out and Cook in.
Although, I hope you are right about Gray.
I do believe Cook and Teel will be the guards.

Minimal chance that a 6-7 senior with a year of experience in the system comes off of the bench.
Have you seen Cook and Teel play?
I could be over-estimating Summers.
However, I can compare Alderink and Gray. I've seen Alderink play several games. He is very skilled at the SF position.
Wasn't Summers the conference FOTY?

Alderink very well might be a contributor, but he's still a freshman who's never played a minute of DI. There's a learning curve to be expected, as with 95% of freshmen we bring in. Experience and leadership on the court are going to be important to for this team, and Gray brings both. Teel and Cook are both talented, so who knows, they could be the starting guards. I would definitely expect Teel to be the PG.

That said, it's July. Picking out our starting lineup right now is like picking numbers out of a hat.

I hope Gray is good, but I haven't seen it.
I normally don't expect anything from FR but I did expect something from Robbie, LaRavia and Williams. I think Cannon and Alderink are both potential freshman contributors.
But I expected Daughtry to start last year so there you go.

If they don't get another PG in, I'm not sure how you can run both of your potential PGs at the same time. Personally, looking at the roster construction and where we have a glut, I'd see a Teel/Cook combo at the 1 and then Cook picking up additional minutes if they play matchup small.

You mean like Larry and Swope?
