I just saw where Georgia is Playing Tennessee Tech in football in September. That will be more lopsided than ISU playing Purdue.

My boss is a Purdue grad. He thinks we may win this one. We'll see.
LOL. Yes, and tomorrow morning I'm going to wake up and be 6' 9" and be the starting small forward for the PACERS.

What QB on our team is going to lead our offense down the field to score three or four touchdowns and control the clock with a dominant rushing game?

Who's going to kick 1 - 3 FG's from 40+ yards? We've got ZERO chance to win this game. I think we have good experience on defense, but they can't be on the field for 70% of the game.

Throw this out there? what does everyone think about going after a non-conference game with University of Wisconsin- Green Bay????? They have brought some talent in this year and you have the automatic PR with Doug Gotleib being their new coach and keeping his sports show gig. was thinking about it as I was in Green Bay for meetings this week. love to hear everyone's opinion.

The only Horizon League team I'd be interested in this year is Oakland. Green Bay having a new coach I've literally never heard of that got famous doing a podcast(?) or something does nothing to move the needle for me. Especially if playing them would me we'd have to go to Wisconsin in the middle of Nov/Dec.

This is the current schedule right?
@ohio State
@ Southern IN
@ Ball State
Eureka College (IL)
TBA Nassau, Bahamas
TBA Nassau, Bahamas
TBA Nassau, Bahamas

That means we need 4 opponents. How about...
Rose Hulman (Vigo school)
St Mary of the Woods (Vigo school)
Depauw (2 counties away)
Wabash College (2 counties away)

We can give them each 5000 bucks like Eureka College and we only need to sell 500 seats per game at the lowest price ($10 in the upper bowl) for it to pay for itself.

Just a portal system reality check: who are expected to be the 1-2 top players on each valley team this coming MBB season? I am drawing complete blanks on opposing rosters after the exodus or exodi (perhaps?)

That's a daunting request considering that we don't even know who will be the top 1-2 players on Indiana State's roster.

Someone would have to go through every MVC team's 2024-2025 roster to try to figure out names that remain from last season and names that are new but are known quantities.

The best I can offer, without looking at every MVC roster, is to say...

Every single player (except Duke Deen from Bradley) that was on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ALL MVC TEAMS either transferred or graduated.

Every single player on the All Newcomer Team transferred.

Sooo...the answer is...

Duke Deen from Bradley and Cooper Schweiger from Valpo
