Former ISU Ass't Coach - Benjy Taylor, escorted off court in handcuffs...

Taylor is current HC at Tuskegee University (SIAC, Div II)... the videos are pretty tame but the rent-a-cop claims Taylor was the 'aggressor'

Taylor's account, he asked the R-A-C to get the non-basketball players OUT of the handshake line...

Judge for yourself

Lots of people get away with stuff that shouldn’t. I can’t hear the audio but the cop in my opinion is full of it. I didn’t see any aggression by the coach.

Back when I was in second grade at Annunciation school, we learned that 41+50 = 91. Must be new ESPN Math.

doubt any of the youngsters at ESPN have the knuckle scars from experiencing an "Annunciation" education!

We can always count on you for an Anti-Catholic remark. It is so sad. Try to find something about which you can be positive.

The sisters and lay teacher at that school were loving and loved. The sister who was Principal could give you a stare when needed but no one was ever struck. Now, when I got to the public school and 9th grade, the former Marine Principal there took a more aggressive approach with his paddle board , but only when needed as a last attempt to promote safety or get someone's attention.

As a practicing Catholic, I've earned the right to share my view.

I will say I know full well I had it luckier than some and the Catholic school system does NOT hold the "patent" of stern, (at times) corporal punishment.

It was school by school and times are different today than when I was in that environment.

Yesterday, I heard on the radio that the University of Portland Pilots had beaten #6 Gonzaga in a WCC home conference game. Final Portland 87 vs Gonzaga 80.

I decided to watch it on ESPN+ replay. Sort of takes the unknown excitement factor out of it, but I wanted to see what happened. Portland was 10-14 entering the game and had not beaten Gonzaga since 2014 losing 20 in a row. Portland broke to a 15-5 lead only to have Gonzaga close it quickly. Portland led all but one possession for about 15 seconds, and after trailing, built about a 15-point lead with 8 minutes or so to play. Led by 12 with about 2 minutes to play, but then star Joel Foxwell left with leg cramps, and the Gonzaga press forced multiple turnovers

Portland is led by a 6'1" freshman guard from Melbourne, Australia named Joel Foxwell. He has played at the highest levels of Australian BB for several years. The announcers early in the game commented that the only reason he was at Portland was that he was undersized and power schools weren't interested.

Against the Zags, Foxwell played 39 minutes, scoring 27 points with 8 assists and 4 rebounds. 11/18 from the field and they just couldn't guard him.

He left the game twice with leg cramps but returned quickly.
I should also note Portland features TWO top NAIA transfers who went toe to toe with Gonzaga's big guys.

The Pilots had lost by around 30 to Washington State in their previous game. The mysteries of college basketball!!
