WANTED: Passionate Sycamore Fanatics. That You?

Register NOW to join our community of die-hard Sycamore fans.

Classy TurdBird fans at Arch Madness. Cussing out their team and coach, fighting among themselves in the stands and several being led away in handcuffs. Must be something in the water over there...

One of their accounts is claiming they spent $2m on that roster. No way.

I saw part of this. It was absolutely insane. The twitter video only has the aftermath of the student in handcuffs, but there was so much chaos while the incident was happening. Hard to make out with 15-20 people all screaming at each other, but I couldn’t stop laughing at how ridiculous it was.

Anyone else watch the MVC Championship and find yourself getting pissed that winning is the aberration for ISU instead of the norm? How inept has ISU been in the past to be relegated to annual cellar dweller status, when a teacher’s college in Frostbite Falls somehow finds the resources to win consistently? Maybe I’m crazy, but every year at this time I find myself wondering why I bother with an institution that is totally cool with losing.

The only thing I have hope about is that our AD seems to be intent on changing that. He’s won me over thus far. I hope he can go down as a legend that turned ISU into a program that expects to win, not just show up.

Similar thoughts here as I watch this mediocre game on CBS. There’s no more Wichita to deal with. Or Final Four-caliber Loyola. Or Kyle Korver-led Creighton. The Valley has been there for the taking since Loyola left. I’m not saying we should expect championships every year but to be in the basement of this league these days is just unacceptable. Graves really needs to win next year.

I forget about the Valley the minute we are out of Arch Madness.

Don’t care who wins. Don’t care what seed they get. Don’t care if they win in the ncaa tourney or not.

Not sure why, just how I feel as I have gotten older.

Unless I am there, I don’t pay attention to any of the games. And even the years I have been there I never stay for the finals unless State is in it.

while we are on the subject, when did the final game switch to noon?

I thought it was at 2:30
This year. The mvc wanted to be the first game on CBS so the pregame and halftime is all about them. Or at least so they said. They could have been forced into it, I don’t know.

Keeping players is good if they were good. If they’re not good, it doesn’t mean much.

Rather than continuity, I’d say chemistry is most important in today’s game, after talent. That’s why UNI might be able to win a game in the NCAA.

In the Iowa Territory, ... does UNI rank #3 or #4 after Iowa or Iowa St?

they're an awfully consistent, stable program -- no love for them but not a lot of drama there, is there?
