2026-2027 Basketball Schedule

We should have several ovc teams on the schedule. They are pretty close which keeps cost down for both teams.

While I'd prefer to add OVC or other regional low major teams, they all want paid now. @jturner38 posted in the Around the Valley thread that WIU is getting $85k from Valpo for a home game a couple weeks ago. Most are getting between $50-80k, on average.

We pay non-D1 teams like $10k -- or at least that had been the going rate.

I mean, you can ask but most of those schools want paid now to put the money into their NIL. Paradigm shift.

I'm actually interested to see how MM v MM contracts go here when our current series end -- like the Ball State one for example. Scheduling may get even more difficult.
