Looks like a nice pick-up. I believe he was all-defensive team during his career at one point? That's welcomed.

It's funny, whenever someone lands a small quick guard that can score at all 3 levels the narrative is "undersized". But I swear more times than not the end up being a very good player

Hope so. Truman State is a jump to the Valley (as is Georgia College) especially the way Murray and others have recruited. I am hoping Walker and Alocen take steps up and Harding plays like he did at Central Michigan.

Yeah, I really think we need a better recruiter on staff. Murray State, Drake, Valpo and other MVC schools are running circles around us.

Slow your horses. Murray and Drake are all new staff and players. We have no idea what they look like as a team yet. They both will be solid, but Valpo? Come on. I’ll take our squad.

I understand theres some people on here who are upset we're recruiting from lower leagues. I dont know what else you want us to do though? Proven mid/high majors are not going to come here. Murrays transfers are all low minute/bench players hoping to find minutes under a new coaching staff. Valpo has 2 guys from UIndy and 1 from SMWC.. please elaborate how is that running laps around us?

At least the guys we're getting are all-conference, player of the year, etc type players. On paper this looks like a much better transfer class already than we had last season. These are all seniors too, we know that we have them for 1 season and what we have to replace next season. I'll give the coaches credit if they've realized this is how sports will operate now.

Bingo. Results TBD, but can't fault the strategy given the landscape 💰.

As a whole, ISU has had success recruiting at the D2 level during past few years: a couple quality starters, a couple quality back-ups, & only a couple misses, to the best of my memory.

I also dont believe we can compete with Murray/Bradley/Drakes NIL budgets. Murray has rumored 7 figures in NIL available this season. Spend wisely and sustainable.
 
ISU has 3 guys in Wagner, Alocen, and Walker with significant potential. I also believe Vorst, with consistent minutes, can be a force. The 4 signed players all were outstanding veterans at their schools and it looks like 3 solid ballhandlers and a good spot shooter/rebounder. Could be with improvement of the returning shooting guards a pretty good team if they can jell together and get some Central Michigan play from Harding. Would still like another inside depth player along with St. Bernard. The more I read about the three guards the more solid I think they will be if the other pieces fit together.
 
Probably should move this discission to "around the valley"
