I mean yeah. Could of initially been that until a $ figure was dropped.
Pacific has won 20 games or more only twice since 2013.

I don't know how much $ they have to drop on someone that wasn't even a starter for us, but I can't imagine it's much.

That or the offers JD is getting are significantly less than he was expecting...

We will probably never know. Unless there are reasons outside of basketball.

Yeah that one don't make sense.

What's his "major?" Maybe he thinks Pacific is ON the Pacific Coast and he'll be able to stroll the beach and contemplate his PT for the Tigers...

Stockton is ~55-70 miles inland, depending on what spot on the East Bay or SF Waterfront is picked...

Pacific did the "SycamorePride Plan" of completely dropping football (were 1-A) in the 90's and have been basketball juggernauts (sarcasm) ever since then, winning two NCAA tournament games in the past 30 years.

30 years ago, the Pacific Trustees made the wise, "bold" decision to shutter a lackluster football program (2 "winning seasons, 6-5) in a 20-yr run; Tiger football hadn't reached the post-season since 1952, hadn't won a conference title since 1947 and achieved a STERLING record of 209-280-9 (.429) since 1943.

Facts seems to be hard for you; ISU Football, FBS football is NOT going to bring in hordes and hordes of cash and students; the Pacific Athl Dept was only running a ~$400K debt when football was shuttered.

How much debt are YOU willing to take on for ISU football? Currently, Pacific has roughly the same student population as ISU, <10K but over 5 times the endowment, lives in a fantastic recruiting base and is STILL NOT willing to waste $$$ on chasing 'football riches'

Pacific has ~10 times the history, tradition of 'successful' college football and is STILL NOT willing to waste $$$ on chasing 'football' riches.

Quit Huffing Diesel - the public health system has enough burdensome folks on their rolls.

He said he wanted to be close to family. Remember his Uncle is LL COOL J. Don’t know maybe he lives closer to Stockton than LA.

If true, one could muse why his Uncle isn't dropping a TON of NIL ca$h to his nephew's fav pick of schools to "further the recruitment..."

He probably didn’t mean it the way it sounds, but his post seems incredibly egotistical. If you knew my story, you’d be proud? Seriously? Might as well say, “You don’t know who I am, but trust me, this should make you excited.”

His story, "it's not always about the money...I'm staying...It's about the money and I'm gone.". Yeah...I'm proud.
Look, I don't hate the kid...it's a tough time to have a gift and be that young with everyone in your ear. But his pro payday is about to take a hit.

What do you mean by his pro day is about to take a hit? Bc I can tell you right now they don’t care about what school a player is loyal to.

He is moving home to a far more prestigious academic institution with hugely better career connections in his home town.
