I’m not a fan of this juco ruling, but if the NCAA caves and makes it law then we get four years (presumably) of this guy— which seems like a great thing,

In the long run it probably means very little for our program as a whole. I watched him some and he probably will not be ready to contribute next year. The rule could help him personally.

He definitely needs to work on free throw shooting this summer. Doesn't look to be much of an offensive threat. He can probably make more of an impact defensively as he has long arms to create steals/block shots. Appears to be a good rebounder.

That is spot on to the scout on him so far from what I’ve been hearing. Good take here.

I watched his last 2 games and overall I'm not that impressed. Great shot blocker, solid defender and has great hops. Little to no offensive game, very poor shooter.

I'd like to see us go after Vincennes JUCO Guard LeBron Thomas. He would be a good fit for us. Slasher that can handle the ball and knock down some shots and an above average defender and rebounder.

His shooting does need work, but I think he will actually be effective in our offense. His speed and athleticism should allow him to cut to the rim for backdoors and lob passes. I see him playing a Jason Kent type roll, but without the outside shooting. He is a great rebounder and his athleticism is of the caliber we haven't seen since Steve Hart. He will need to improve the shooting numbers, but I think he will play significant minutes for us.

I think it will be very difficult for him to earn minutes. Any time you play someone that cannot shoot, the defense is playing 5 on 4. If he can shut down a 20 pt scorer, maybe.

I am sure his shooting will improve, but he can play meaningful minutes just using his high motor, athleticism and cutting ability. At the bourbon and cigar night, HCMG said he was really excited to get him on campus. That sounds like a guy who is likely to play meaningful minutes to me....but maybe it was just coach speak.

I agree. I think he will play quite a bit in the Daughtry role
