I don't get that same feeling about this team, even with Lathan in the lineup this team is reeling and I almost get the sense that the coaching staff has lost this team. The reason I say this is the fact that they have not played a complete game in over a month. They either come out and start the game flat or in the case of the Southern game, come out of the locker room flat.

Play in game here we come - sorry for the bleak outlook boys, it's just the way it's going to be.
 
I had a couple of teams when I was in high school that had the same problem. One of those teams never figured out how to play a complete game. The other had an epiphany in a game much like ours last night, started beating the living snot out of teams because of intensity for entire games, and they won a whole bunch of games in the last 1/2 of the season. I have no idea which way this team will go. I hope they take the latter path, but you just can't figure this bunch out...
 
I think this team still has some wins to come. I am not giving up on them yet. Reed really needs to start playing better and Brant needs to stay on the bench. How obvious is it that we play SO much better when Martin is in the game. It never fails- no Martin in the 1st half and we get spanked. Coach plays Martin in the 2nd half and we outscore them by 20. HE IS BETTER THAN BRANT PERIOD. Martin should start and be rested by Crawford. Brant only if absolutely neccessary. Now, don't be mistaken, I'm not saying Martin is good, just that he is our best option. I still think we should finish somewhere around 5th or 6th if we can get Lathan back soon.

I agree with this - pretty well said actually. I don't know about 5th or 6th anymore but I guess we will see what happens.

I know alot of these guys and I know K-Mac's teams traditionally finish strong....I just think we will do this again, once again between all of us there is no definitive right or wrong because we just dont know...
 
Yes, I also agree, Brant has to stay on the bench unless he plays for maybe 3 minutes. Isiah is not the best player in the world but he is by far the best option for our team and Crawford is number two. If all else fails we will just have to wait for Kitchell. Lol.

Gotta agree with this also...damn, that means I'm agreeing with Morgan..lol....Well said oh MEM.

We still have more wins left in us and we are playing alot better than years past on the road...just not playing a complete game to get the W's. I like Brant so I don't like knocking him but I agree Martin should be getting most of the time at center. Josh has had some nice moments but Brant looks lost out there. Right now we are playing without our two most talented players in JK and Lathan....that hurts no matter what!
 
For what it's worth I personally like Josh over Martin but it's not enough of a difference between the two to throw a fit. But both are better than Brant, but it doesn't seem to matter what anyone on this site thinks because coach aint been changing his ways. He just plays whom ever is getting the job done that day. It needs to be a one two punch with Josh Martin or Martin Josh and let's see what that does for us.

If i am not mistaken Josh started the game yesterday. Am I correct on this? i think in the past few games Brant has played less and less . Not sure on the minutes breakdown but it seems that way .

We will go 1-3 in our next four games hoping for 2-2. I don't think we can beat Northern Iowa or Illinois State. Maybe we get lucky against Southern Illinois. We definitly should not lose to Evansville but the way this year's gone it wouln't be a suprise.
 
We CAN definitely beat Illinois State. We should beat SIU and Evan. NIU I think is just better than us, but you never know. As they say "that is why they play the games."
 
I don't "expect" to beat NIU, but it's home, and I do expect to beat ISU red and SIU at home.
Like I said, that will tell us how we are going to finish.
 
only the final standings will determine how the sycamores finish. anything else is only an indication of there they are at that point in time.


games aren't played on paper, they are played by tiny people inside your televison set.
