I'm doing everything I can to make it there so we have at least 1 student in the student section. I would like to at least meet our Arch Madness average for students in the student section(1-3ish). With it being Thursday I honestly believe I am the only student trying to make plans to come down.

This is ridiculous - you honestly think you are the only student trying to go to St. Louis?? What about the students I know who went down to Orlando this season? The students that went to Butler? The students that went to the Vandy game? Look I love the support and I am not discouraging that - but don't think for a second you are the only student who loves Indiana State Basketball - that is just not the case. I can assure you that you will not be the only student in St. Louis. I can't guarantee you that those students will be in the "student section" but trust me a few will make the trip.

Just can't make it for Thursday, but me and at least one friend from my days at ISU will be there for Friday and hopefully there cheering ISU to victory through Sunday.

We generally just buy our tickets by session and pick our seats by scoping out the place. I'd like to be in the ISU section, but this strategy generally works for us and we eventually end up sitting where we want.

I wish I could make it. This tournament is at the right time too. This next week March 4-8 is VU's spring break so I could make it, but I don't know how I would.

In no way am I trying to act like I am the only Sycamore Fan. I know there are a ton out there. What I was meaning, and maybe I worded it wrong and for that I apologize, Was with classes on Thursday and Friday, it looks like we may be short handed in the student section. I have talked to a lot of people who go to as many, probably more games than I've made it to. They are saying it's going to be tough to make it to St. Louis before Saturday with classes and other commitments. I looked at my schedule and I am lucky enough to have classes I will be able to miss out on at the end of the week where I can probably make it to St. Louis, other students can't miss their classes. I never meant to offend anyone with what I said.

Look no apology necessary, nor am I offended. Some times my posts come off aggressively and that is just me talking - I am not upset.

I think the first thing that you should understand is we usually don't have a good student turnout in St. Louis in general. We have a hard time getting students to go to home games in Terre Haute, let alone St. Louis.

I simply had to stick up for students that I personally know have traveled all over the country this year to watch the Sycamores. I am not a student anymore, but I know students who support the Sycamores - now I wish they all had your love for the Sycamroes. But to suggest that you are probably the only student going to St. Louis is unfounded.

i'm not trying to defend the students at all here. but ISU does a terrible job promoting arch madness to the students. most students don't know where the conference tournament is, some probably don't know there is a tournament at all, and the ones that do no about the tournament don't know there is a designated student section. i'm a current student, been to every home game this year (except christmas break games), watched every game that has been on t.v. or espn3, and listened to every other game on the radio. i spend hours a day on this website, reading the stateman, tribstar, and can probably tell you everything you need to know about the other MVC schools. When my friends want to know anything about Indiana State, whether it's athletics or just in general they come to me. but i have not heard one thing regarding student tickets to arch madness. i have no idea how much they cost, whether ISU will provide a bus to arch madness for students (if they have enough), who to call to get them, where to pick them up, etc. yes, student attendance sucks in St. Louis, but i have seriously not heard one promotion or read one advertisement regarding student tickets, and it's not like i don't look for it.

I made reservations thru Sunday back in December. I will be at all the games had intended on going after work Thursday but now I have to leave work early to make it there on time for the start of the game . the hardest part will be fighting the 5 pm traffic downtown .

The biggest problem with Arch Madness is the fact it falls on Spring Break. take a pulse of the student body and offer them A. a trip to St. Louis to watch our Men's team or B. go to whatever else location (Florida, wherever kids go) and 95 out of a 100 students will take B over A. like you guys said, most student's don't even know about option A.

Wish I could go, but I'm having my wisdom teeth taken out on March 13th so the time I would have taken off for Arch Madness went towards that -- lucky guy, I know.

I'm not going because I don't think we will win...

Well I think we will win on Thursday and I think we will lose on Friday. It would appear that the Thursday night game will be on Fox Sports Midwest. Niceeeee!

I only go to St. Louis when I know the Sycamores are going to win it all:

2001 and 2011

Why you ask?

Because I don't want to be pissed off the entire 3 hour (or whatever it takes) trip back to Terre Haute. Got a problem with that? lol

I've long had the policy (lose policy really..) that I don't travel for the play-in games.
Besides the fact that I would have to take off work, they've only started doing the play-in games recently anyway, so I didn't feel like I was missing much.

That's part of the reason that being in the bottom 4 depresses me, because I know that my ISU Basketball season is probably over... Depending on schedules, etc... we try to make all games from Friday and beyond. We would have to be in the top 4 for me to reserve the room for the weekend.

Honestly I just enjoy college basketball . Therefore I intend on being at the entire Arch Madness win lose or draw . I had hotel reservations for Thursday thru Sunday anyway so why not enjoy the whole damn weekend hopefully watching the Sycamores play 4 of the games.

I have plans to come Saturday if we make it to Saturday - don't you worry about that. I feel as if that is somewhat "soft" of me to say... I feel like your either ALL IN for the entire weekend like you Dave or your ALL OUT! Plus let's be honest, it's much more fun to be ALL IN and win the damn thing than it is to come down for just a single game - anyone can do that and call themselves a fan.

I know one thing is for certain, not only will Dave be ALL IN on the Sycamores, he is going to be ALL IN at the Poker table! LOL! Dude loves to gable.

I'll be there Saturday. The noon game on Friday kills me. Had we been the 6 or 3 seed, Friday would have been much more doable since it's a 9:00 game.

Plans are in place to be there early Saturday so I can find some WSU fans who are trying to unload their tickets as they leave town. Then a quick stop at the WSU hotel to grab and empty room, then off to Hooters before the game!
