Starting to look like we will play Valpo again on Friday in St. Louis. Depends on the Drake UNI game tonight I do believe

Valpo and MSU are very close in NET rankings and split in the regular season. If MSU beats SIU (and they most likely will) it looks like we will play MSU.

We won't be playing SIU. They will be playing Bradley in the 4/5 game.

If Drake upsets UNI do they have a chance at the 6 seed?

If I am understanding all of this correctly, it can only be MSU or Valpo. Drake (if they win) would tie those other two but are much further back in the NET rankings.

If MSU wins it looks like we play MSU, if they lose we play Valpo. I think I'm right on that.

MSU has struggled to win on the road just as much as anyone else. Combine that with their penchant to turn the ball over and they always seem to keep their opponent in the game.

It will depend on how we shoot, and how the game is called. If their bigs are allowed to throw their weight around and if we are cold from deep again (shot 5-20 in our loss to them) then yes we will struggle.

More than anything we need to make sure LaRavia is healthy. If his back limits him we will be in trouble.

Bears up 14 now at home in second half to a fading SIU team so looking like we get the Bears.

If this Sycamore team is who we hope they are, they should want to play MSU. Avenge the only home loss of the year as well as (arguably) the worst game they played all year (Loyola game might be worse).

Bottom line is that as competitive as the MVC has been this year any matchup is going to make for a tough path. The league is just very even this year.

If the Bears hang on and win (up 19 with 9 min left) this will be your bracket.

1 UNI
8 DU / 9 ILST

4 BU
5 SIU

2 LUC
7 VU / 10 UE

3 ISU
6 MSU

Pretty pumped that we earned the 3 seed. Not so pumped at playing MSU. I just don't like how we match up. Oh well, let's go beat them.

I was 25% this team could win the tournament, but after hearing the seniors speak I believe they are locked in and I believe this team maybe a team of destiny. 2001 they were 18-11 and made their run thru, the tournament. This has the same feel.

Wouldn’t it be cool for J.B. to come home and win it in his hometown. There’s a lot there to be desired.

I contend at this point that MSU isn’t a good matchup for us, but it doesn’t really matter. To be the best you have to take down everyone in your way. There’s really no way to avoid tough teams in a 10-team tournament. I look forward to researching the hell out of this game throughout the coming week.

An interesting side note I saw Golden tweet: the last time ISU won as many as 4 MVC games in a row entering Arch Madness was 2011 when we won 5 in a row. If you all remember, 2011 was a pretty good tournament for us!

I really think that we'll either be blown out by MSU or beat them pretty decently. It all depends on our shooting and rebounding. If we beat MSU I have very much confidence that we will beat Loyola in the semifinal. I also think in that case we could beat UNI too. It's very very possible that we win it all this year which is totally awesome.

If we have LaRavia then we should beat Missouri State. We played one of our worst games against them and they also got bailed out 3 times on 3 point fouls. We also beat them on the road and we all know how rare that was this season. Should be a revenge game for us.

Now Loyola makes me nervous, because I think they will want revenge after what we did to them in Terre Haute. Reminds me of the situation in 2013 when we had to play Creighton in the semifinals after trouncing them in Terre Haute.
