Wish we would, but probably won't happen. Weather is looking to be around 50 degrees with a 30% chance of rain, so that probably won't help. I'd be happy if we get 7500 there, but definitely hoping for much more.
I'm normally the optimist....but this week, I'll guess 6900. Weather factor.
if it's decent weather i'm gonna say i'd be disappointed with 6,000-6,999. happy with 7,000-7,999 and pleasantly surprised with 8,000+

if the weather is as bad as predicted I will say 5000 will show, and that might be stretching it. I wouldn't be surprised with between 4000-5000

I'm trying to bring some extra folks over to the game. It is the Boy's HS State XC meet in Terre Haute and one of Tanner's teammates made it so a bunch of the team is going down for support. Trying to talk them to going to the game afterwards.

I'm spreading the word. I like the idea of 8,000. Trust me, I know the big goal that we all have in mind. But Rome wasn't built in a day. Attendance will get better. With our success this season and the seeds I'm trying to plant in the student body, we are building a foundation for Sycamore Pride in the future. You know I will get every student there possible, if that means I have to be a taxi to get them all there.

Good time for that promo. Hope they have something similar for the next weekend since that game could have HUGE implications because if we hold court and beat South Dakota, that home finale could get us to 8 wins and secure a playoff berth. The SIU game crowd last year, with the playoffs on the line, was pitiful.
I know and I agree but Lynch just touched on it and I urge you all to continue to be supporters and cheerleaders for this effort. It is not going to change over night and it's not going to change with one winning season. It is going to continue to trend in a positive direction though with efforts like Lynch and "The Forrest" and winning games and leading the conference and all the other work that has been done in the last several years. Given the economy and such atleast things aren't trending downward for us - I mean not that things could have gone any lower as far as attendance. I think all you can really do is continue to look at the positives, continue to invite people to games, continue to attend games yourself and in all actuality if you do that at the end of the day really you've done about all you can do. I think we have all done some extra things on occasions - called businesses and asked them to put something on a sign, called a radio station and asked them to plug a game. So we do our part around here - I don't want to have the same discussion over and over again on here about attendance. I can't wait for the day that we don't have to do that - until that day comes hopefully everyone can realize that indeed, "Rome wasn't built over night".
state meet is at 1 for the girls, and 1:45pm for the boys, so that's right during the ISU game.
ISU plays at 2:05pm, so those going to the state meet would miss maybe just the 1st quarter.
