Rumor is former Princeton and Northwestern HC Bill Carmody is getting the Holy Cross job and Steve Donahue (Boston College, Cornell) is getting the Penn job.

Rumor is Travis Steele (with Indiana ties, relative to John Groce at Illinois), who is currently asst. at Xavier is in on the Northern Kentucky job.

He has been rumored for jobs each of the last 2-3 years. Gonna guess he'll finally jump. Think he almost took the Tennessee State job last year.

Poor decision on Missssippi State's part. You hire a coach and give him the keys to the trainwreck that they were when Coach Ray walked in the door and expect to be playing in the NCAAs by the third year? Good luck.

By the way, nice qoute from the AD in the article, "I just don't know how confidence I have that was going to be the direction that ended up being where we wanted to be." Uhhhh, ........WHAT?

Miss. St. bringing Stansberry back after they fired him earlier. They must be messed up down there. Rick will land somewhere. Class act and a honest shooter.

Geno Ford officially out at Bradley. Hate to see it as I like Geno, but can understand. They just never really showed any improvement during his time there.

Wouldn't you think old IU had enough "head" coaches around to get the job done a lot better than they do? Apparently "Old Clappy" either doesn't take their advice or has no idea how to use them?

"Most college teams like Indiana spread responsibilities across the three main assistant coaches. Each will take turns with the "scout" for the next game unless one of the assistants is fairly young and less experienced. That's not the case with Indiana which is blessed with more former Division I head coaches than any other program in the nation. Besides McClain, who hasn't been officially announced as new UIC head coach, Tim Buckley (Ball State), Chuck Martin (Marist), Rob Judson (Illinois State) and Bennie Seltzer (Samford) have all been the head guy at another program."

Howland now talking with Mississippi State.

Nevada apparently had a BoT meeting Friday to decide on the coach. Former Auburn man Tony Barbee (at Kentucky now) is apparently the name.

Murray State's Steve Prohm is mentioned everywhere I search for Alabama. I know they're in the NIT so it is probably on hold until that is done.
