Anyone notice this small caveat in Punk Hurley's UB contract?

He made $300,000, plus 25 percent of the gate after the first $300,000 in ticket revenue was counted. The more he won, the more fans showed up. It was an incentive for him to build a program worth watching. The community was slow to climb aboard, but it eventually came around.


Have to hand it to the UB Athl Dir --- THAT is a very interesting 'salary counter' --- win and they may come... Be interesting to see how many other MBB coaches have a clause like that in their contract...

Pastner can't coach. If that is the best ASU can get, good luck. Pastner is in a basketball "hotbed", with a great program and really good facilities and a pretty avg. to weak conference, and he still can't get anything done.

if they do fire him. you gotta think that Marshall will be high on the radar for the job. it is absulutely insane the amount of resources Texas has and yet they have dropped out of relevancy the past 5 years in basketball and football.

I'm so sick of cheating coaches. It's only gonna get worse because of all the money that is being thrown around and administrators are showing that they have no patience with coaches as far as winning goes. Win right away or get fired. Then they wonder why coaches at big money schools cheat.
