Ppl here ridiculed me for thinking Marshall would actually listen to Alabama....
Rumor has it that Texas is going to go all in on Shaka Smart. If true, maybe the fact that Texas is looking elsewhere has caused Marshall to think twice about Alabama.

Well, ridicule is a little strong - dismissive may be more accurate. Besides all we know at this point id that the 'Bama AD is chasing Marshall around Wichita after he originally told him thanks, but no thanks.

Well considering Smart to Texas and Barnes to Tennessee have been all over the Internet all day, he didn't necessarily take a leap there. I'll give it to him on the Marshall prediction if that one goes through.

They're going to have to pony-up some big bucks not only to buy Ford out but to pay their next coach. Money isn't really an issue at Okie State, but it's still a big chunk of change. Why any school gives a coach a 10-year contract is beyond me. Ford has been relatively successful, but word is that he just doesn't get along with anyone and his personality can be abrasive to boosters and school admin.

Texas's Scout.com site is reporting there are now contract negotiations with Shaka Smart.
Liberty rehires their old coach Ritchie McKay. Apparentlty they were throwing around big money offers and couldn't get any takers.
