I think Fouch has a better chance of being successful than our other QBs in recent years if only because he has better receivers and a deeper, more experienced line to protect him, nevermind that he's more talented. I'm anxious to see what these receivers can do though.

I really love the size that some of the new receivers have. A couple of them are 6-foot-3 and there are a lot of undersized corners in the Valley. These guys should be crucial in keeping drives going because of this advantage as long as they use it properly.

I think this goes without saying. I have always been a proponent of building a team from the trenches out and if everything we've read and heard is true, we look to be quickly developing along the offensive line. I hope they have shotgun and special teams snapping down this year. It was very troublesome last year.

Having seen all of them in person, I totally agree that our receivers are impressive. Yes, Fouch will have better results because he has a better line and better hands to catch the passes, but he is also mobile and has deadly accuracy and timing. the whole package is light years ahead of last season. I'd look for a lot of points Saturday...the new O is like a whole new unit.

OK we don't need the 70 that SIU hung on Quincy last night, but I'd feel good about 40+. Not only are the receivers better, but I also look for the tight ends to be more involved and more productive. The blue-white game a couple of weeks ago was an indication of this, with more attention on the WRs opening things up for the TEs. And Fouch has the ability to run through his reads and find the correct receiver. Like you said, light years ahead of the last 2 years offensively.

Fouch not only is better than schmitdke and stutzreim, but yes he does have a better o-line and a lot better receivers. I'm glad we finally have some bigger receivers. Youngstown St. came in last year with very big receivers and on our side they were all below 6' and about 180 lbs. These are all signs of our team moving in the right direction and I am very excited for Saturday nights game and the rest of the season! (:
