I don't think there is any debate about that. We'd never even beaten a top five team before, nevermind no. 1 at their place. What a day to be a Sycamore!

There have been many great wins. The blow out of the Western Kentucky last year being among them, but this is the no. 1. You can go back to the very beginning of football at Indiana State. No win has been bigger. Let's hope there are many more to come this year.

i would have to say the playoff win in 83 or 84 (whichever year it was) was the biggest, this would have to be a real close 2nd

To beat #1 in front of 18,000 (19k capacity) at THEIR place is hard to top...that '84 playoff win was in front of what, 6,000 @ Memorial Stadium?

Not knit picking but I just looked it up. Our playoff WIN was against Eastern Illinois (16-13) in 1983. We then lost to Southern Illinois in Carbondale (7-23). In 84 we lost our only game to Middle Tennessee State (41-42) at Memorial Stadium. That was a heart breaker. I still am pissed about that game.

All due respect to our teams of the past, but today's win was the biggest. Defending champs, at their place - where no one seems to ever win - we led from start to finish. Biggest win ever and an all time defensive performance.

We did that against Youngstown St in 1995, of course they weren't as good that year.

This was without a doubt the biggest win in program history!! If you consider where this program came from and look at today's win - this my friends is one of the biggest statements from Indiana State Athletics "as a whole" in a long, long time and I think people on here know how pro ISU Track XC I am - yoy know they can do know wrong sorta thing. But this, this is big time!

That deserves an Amen!

SP I was on here 5 years ago calling for this programs head! I wanted it gone - it deserved to be gone! To the people who turned it around, Ron Prettyman, Dan Bradley, Trent Miles, Tom James and many former players - big ups! Tonight is a big night and you better believe I am celebrating this!!! We beat the #1 team in the land!!

This win also proves we can win a national championship, still a lot of work left though to make that happen.

The MTSU game is the one I was thinking of...we had a terrible crowd that game, didn't we?

Cold, very windy, raining and about 38 degrees or so if I remember correctly. Simply miserable weather and a tough loss on top of it. This particular team I think, was the better of the two playoff squads. Just met a tough opponent and a tough day and came up just short.
