I've been asked to pass this on by a couple folks, but for those of you attending the August 27th game against Quincy, the football team requests you wear black. They want a BLACK OUT because that is exactly what they plan to do to Quincy.

BLACK OUT AUGUST 27TH -- BE SURE TO PASS THIS ALONG!

Quincy plays in the same conference as St. Ambrose University from my hometown of Davenport, Iowa. St. Ambrose is pretty good, but there is no way Indiana State should lose to a team from that level of competition, especially considering Quincy isn't as good as St. Ambrose.

Hopefully the kids don't get all twisted about the "must win" nature of this game. Just go out, relax, and let your talent dictate the game. Quincy played at Western Illinois last year, and lost by about the same score as we did. That being said, we were a much different team at the end of the year that the team that played at WIU.

Quincy has a QB that transferred from Illinois State--a big kid (6'5", 230) that threw for over 2,000 yards last year for them. They are also big on the lines, and have a bunch of Florida kids on their roster. Our guys have to come to play, and not take anything lightly.

The last thing ISU should do is overlook Quincy.

I am not sure that a team that hasn't won a game in a season and a half could overlook anyone but they should not take anyone lightly, which I don't think they will.

The new turf looks great. 9 days until practice starts, let's get pumped up.

I just hope they show up ready to play. They need to get things going early show Quincy that they are in control of the game. I fear that if Quincy gets out front the Sycamores will have problems:sycamores:

The offense needs to be able to move the ball and score early. I would hope our improved defense can hold them in check.

i doubt if they will overlook quincy.....

that's what coach west and his people did against st. francis.....soi don't that will happen this time around.....
