I know we keep saying 'college sports is dead' but if he suits up and plays for Tech this year, the nails in the coffin. No chance you should get to ever play again after betting on a team you played for.

In what sane world does Brendan Sorsby get to play collegiate football again?

In a Texas world - that's where -- this is a classic Texas decision...

the NFL suspended Alex Karras and Pual Hornung for gambling on league games, MLB suspended a RETIRED Willie Mays and Mickey Mantle for simply working as GREETERS at an Atlantic City casino(s)

Only in Texas does a kid get re-instated to collegiate eligibility

All he needed was a court injunction. It’s not the final verdict. By the time it goes to trial, he is in the NFL.

Why would any GM even consider giving Sorsby a nickel? Every game of his will be called into question - Every SNAP he would take

The P4 got exactly what they asked for......

I don't have an ounce of sympathy for their butt hurt selves.

But I do agree this guy shouldn't be anywhere near college athletics. If he is allowed to play, what little guardrails there were on the gambling just got completely decommissioned

he shouldn't be anywhere near PROFESSIONAL athletics

Just out of curiosity, does anyone believe that Sorsby is truly a gambling addict like Art Schlicter for instance?

uh...yeah, probably. Based on where Schichter was at the same age as Sorsby. But I don't give a shit whether he has a lifetime addiction or not. His actions are a threat to the very core of athletic competition.

If this wasn’t a nail in the NCAA coffin, I don’t know what will be. Even if their power was all an illusion, the ruse is over.

I know a lot of Tech fans and they’re making it okay in their minds because he never bet on Tech games. Apparently, that’s their line and he’s yet to cross it, so it’s all good.

im ok as long as the betting was on his team to win. this type of judgement wouldnt be Texas only. it would have happened at any court at any P4 school's state.
