A bunch of names now missing from the roster. We knew about Officer as it came off a bit ago (likely due to injury) but quite a few transfers and JUCO kids from last year are now missing, too.

5 Clayton Smith
17 Chris Overton
21 De'Juan Tyson
28 Johnny Johnson
29 Johnathan Henderson
50 Trey Blandford
60 James Officer
69 Nick Derheimer
80 Dakota Short
81 Curtis Lee
82 Ta'Riq Brown
83 James Mitchell
85 Miles Thompson
90 Cedric Quince
91 Chris McDaniel

I asked for an updated spring ball roster on Facebook but never got a response back.

I don't see the name of the character that disrespected the national anthem on this list?

Good, because he did nothing wrong and simply exercised his Constitutional rights given to him as an American. You know, the same ones that let you pretend to be a Sycamore fan.

Listen, coach Mallory will find out real quick who's on board with his program after multiple 5am practices and stricter discipline. I almost did a back flip when I heard that they were doing with these early morning practices. I've yet to meet him but I am convinced he has a real football sense having grown up in a true football family. Turnover is the rule of thumb with a new coach anyway and my guess many would have left if Mike was still here. Anyone else have a good feeling about football yet?

Question Boda--does a participant in any sport, at any level, when in uniform and at a competition become a representative of the team/school and there fore agree to abide by team/school rules and regulations? Does being a scholarship participant play a role in the situation?

Did he break a rule that you know of?

I absolutely do not believe that you support that bullshit Jason. Obviously you have never served in the military and therefore never fought in a war.

No rules were broken to the best of my knowledge. And I intended this to be not based on one incident, but rather as a general rule applied at anytime.
Gotcha. Each incident should be handled according to the facts and details of said incident. I don't believe in applying blanket judgments. Each student has a University Code of Conduct they must adhere to and student-athletes are included on that banner.

I can live with that. I often find myself appalled that we even have reason to discuss this and similiar topics.

False, I absolutely support him. Further, the fact that one never served in the military or fought in the war is immaterial to the fact of the matter.

I have plenty of friends that have served and it's about a 50/50 split on where they come down on the issue. Many believe they served to make sure freedoms are afforded, embraced and protected for all citizens, not just the privileged class. The fact that we even have national anthems played at sporting events was done to drive attendance and make owners money... so spare me the patriotic bullshit because that was not it's original intent. Further, you want everyone to stand? Start doing your part to help right social injustice. If you don't believe that exists, you're as stupid as you are cheap.

Night, friend.

Make sure you don't log back in with one of your other accounts.
And that is exactly what he did... now all three of his accounts are banned.

In the spirit of full disclosure, Coach had two other accounts he used here, BlueSycamore and ISU_Tree_Fan. I had let a couple people know about this because he'd like to make a post as one and then give himself validation/props with one of the other accounts. He'd also often forget which one he was in and his tone wouldn't match the account he was using.

One thing is for sure, he doesn't understand how the Internet works or what an IP address is. Have a good day everyone!

Was kind of surprised/excited to see a thread in the football forum with 16 posts, especially this time of year and then ... (sigh).

Regarding the turnover, I can't remember how many we've had disappear from the roster in previous years, but seems to happen frequently, even without a change in coaches.

What I found odd is that it was almost our entire wide receiving corps -- 6 of the guys on the list above were receivers, most of which that played a lot last year.
