Hated to hear this. He was one of my favorite people.

Former SMS (now Missouri State) and SLU coach Charlie Spoonhour has passed away this morning at the age of 72.

Very sad news indeed...Loved Charlie as both a coach and a analyst. He loved MVC hoops! College basketball lost a great one! RIP

To many Charlie was MVC basketball. RIP Coach--you will be missed. The Valley was better because of him.
